Although our UK weather would have us believe otherwise, we're now fast approaching the summer solstice and the mid point of 2012! With such an exciting line up of national events this year including the recent Diamond Jubilee and impending London Olympics, we thought you might like to know our top picks for events taking place in Lincolnshire leading up to the end of the year.
1. The Lincolnshire Show - Wednesday 20th & Thursday 21st June
The county's biggest and best show of the year returns for 2012 with an exciting array of livestock and equine competitions, machinery displays, cookery demonstrations, flower shows, a dog competition, craft tents, entertainment, retail therapy and much more!

2. SO Festival Skegness Friday 22nd June - Sunday 1st July
One of the East Midlands' largest and most diverse outdoor cultural events, the SO Festival will be packed with colour, dance, arts and music. This year the SO Festival has strong links with the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games and is set to be a hugely exciting showcase of spectacular proportions.
3. Olympic Torch Comes to Boston - Wednesday 27th June
We're very excited to have the Olympic Torch passing right outside the farm and look forward to seeing the relay at the end of this month! Unmissable for us, of course.

4. CLA Game Fair at Belvoir Castle Grantham - Friday 20th - Sunday 22nd July
Tradition, sport, celebration and style combine in a glorious setting at Belvoir Castle for the CLA Game Fair - known as the world's leading country sport event. From fishing to shopping, shooting to sculpture, food, horses, dogs and nature there's something for everyone at this family event.
5. Heckington Show Sat 28th July & Sunday 29th July
"The Largest Village Show in England" - the Heckington Show is a quintessentially British summer time show featuring a whole host of stand, displays, animals, family activities, shows and competitions.

5. RAF Waddington Air Show

6. Revesby Country Fair - Sunday 5th August

7. Burghley Horse Trials - Thursday 30th August - Sunday 2nd September

8. 1000 Years of Traditional Crafts - Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th September
After a fantastic first year in 2011, 1000 Years returns for 2012 with a new two-day extravaganza of traditional crafts including ironmongery, stonemasonry and lacemaking to name but a few. This year the event will mark the opening of the brand new Heritage Skills centre in Lincoln Castle grounds.

9. Sausage Festival - Saturday 29th October
Now in its 9th year, the brilliant Sausage Festival is a celebration of Lincolnshire's finest banger inside the pretty setting of Lincoln Castle and Castle Square. Don't miss some delicious sausage recipes in the live cookery demonstrations. A free day out with lots of goodies to try!
10. Lincoln Christmas Market - Thursday 6th December - Sunday 9th December
The largest Christmas Market in the UK, Lincoln's magical Christmas event over four days promises an enchanting start to the festive season with over 300 stalls, music, entertainment, delicious festive food and drink and a fairground.
